MY USUAL FOOD;
I CAN LIVE WITH JUST FRUITS ALL DAY LONG

Arranged by Charice Mendez

I have always loved food. My Mom is a good cook. She has always made sure each meal was savory and satiating. Growing up in a home where food was abundant, it was hard to keep my our weight down. Although I had always hated meat, I couldn't escape the mouth-watering pies, cakes, cookies, breads, Filipino delicacies, etc. that my Mom always prepared to make our Sabbaths extra special. She's an extraordinary cook! She has been catering for weddings when I was young. I was also always tasked to sell her goodies whenever there were occasions or gatherings at MVC.

I learned to cook at a young age just by observing and helping my Mom. I independently tried experimenting on baking at age 12. Although I'm trying my best to be vegan, I still can't resist cooking unhealthy but delicious food for my loved ones.

I never thought I'd publicize my love for cooking and baking. I never bothered to take photos of my creations. These are a few of them and I doubt adding to these would take a while since I'm on hunger strike. hehehe.

I'm still discovering some recipes, so this page will be constantly updated with more photos. Most of my recipes are from my Mom but I also modify what I take from cookbooks & the internet. I usually lessen the sugar, eggs and fat to at least console my conscience. I usually choose healthy recipes. And by the way, I hate instant mixes. I start with scratch. If you want my recipes, just contact me and I'd share them with you. I have also been accepting small orders. hehehe

DESSERTS

Crema de Fruta with Boston Cream Pie Filling & Gelatin Glaze
(Laborious & expensive, yet worth it. The sponge cake is sensitive;
the cream filling is extra work; perfecting the gelatin
glaze costed me so many trial and errors)

Pineapple Upside Down Cake
(Our childhood favorite)

Double Layer Fudge Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache

Mud Brownies with Marshmallows

Mud Cake with  Marshmallows
(was inspired to copy the mud cake we used

Strawberry Jelly Roll

Fresh Fruit Tart with Lemon Glaze
(Mouth-watering, healthy & attractive)

Leche Flan

This is one of the easiest and yummiest dessert;
My sister loves this so much. My version's top isn't that dark
because I intentionally lessened the sugar of the caramel)

Double-Crusted Apple Pie

My Special Buko Pie

Lattice Topped Apple-Peach Pie
